The Net Zero garden will be a productive and edible garden. Extensive areas of orchards and raised vegetable and herb gardens will be designed to provide a healthy home grown source of food throughout the year. All the water that will be used on the gardens will be from the site derived rain held in large underground cisterns / tanks that sustain this garden throughout the year. All garden and kitchen ( vegetable ) scraps are recycled in a series of onsite compositing bins that replenish the various garden beds and soils throughout the year.
